<p style="text-align:justify;"><b>21st April,2014</b><br /> <br /> Unity in Diversity, is not just a quotation, but these words are highly prudent to our country, India, incredibly rich in culture and heritage from the time of Mauryas, Mughals, till to the period of British Empire. The Indian culture has never been rigid and hence it's surviving with her majesty &amp; glory in the modern era. As winds of change are blowing, It timely imbibes the qualities of various other cultures and comes out as a contemporary and acceptable tradition. That is what unique about the Indian culture, it moves on with the time. But this should be the prime responsibility and joint efforts of tomorrow's India, to preserve and protect Indian cultural heritage, which brings euphoria in people's mind to rediscover the cultural values, inclusive of relevant traditional norms.<br /> <br /> Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) shapes young PR minds to enrich the preservation process of Indian culture and heritage. To mark the National PR Day on 21st April 2014, a panel discussion on theme &quot;Preservation of Indian Values, Traditions and Culture for Tomorrow's India - Role of Public Relations&quot;, was organized by PRSI, Kolkata Chapter at Kalakunj (Basement of Kalamandir). Panelists included : Ms. Roopsha Dasguppta, Mr. Abhijit Roy, Mr. Surendra Munshi, Dr. Bharati Ray and moderator Ms. Rita Bhimani.<br /> <br /> A grand finale of slogan contest was held on National PR Day. Contestants 15 years and above age were required to write 12 words in English, on the theme &quot;Preservation of Indian Values, Traditions and Culture for Tomorrow's India - Role of Public Relations&quot;. More than 150 participants participated in this contest. Cash prizes were given to the winners and certificates to all participants.<br /> <br /> As in the previous 3 years, PRSI organized the 4th Better City Better Life (BCBL) awards for the citizens of Kolkata who have contributed in their respective fields for the betterment of various aspects of the societal life of the city. The objective is to create a sense of understanding of a Better City Better Life in the backdrop of our very own Kolkata and acknowledgement of those luminaries. The dignitaries who have been nominated this year, for BCBL awards 2014, are: <b>Dr. Debashish Bhattacharya, Mr. Debojyoti Mishra, Mr. Dibyendu Barua, Mr. Kishan Kejriwal, Ms. Mahua Lahiri, Mr. Sanjay Jain, Mr. Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Mr. Wasim Kapoor, Shri. Bedabrato Pain.</b><br /> <br /> This program, was graced by <b>Prof. Dhiraj Choudhury, Ms.Locket Chatterjee, Ms.Minu Budhia, Pt.Mallar Ghosh, Ms.Rita Bhimani, Ms.Riddhi Bandyopadhyay, Pt.Tejendra Narayan Majumder,Pt.
