Due to pandemic, entertainment industry had got largely subdued. But it had opened up newer avenues to enable transition from theatres to digital platforms. New and innovative ways of film making are quickly coming up making the virtual and digital platforms the new normal in the entertainment arena. Replicating real life characters with lookalike virtuals is an experiment that has already started. Also super-imposing virtual images of real life actors to give them either a younger or older look is also being experimented. Dr Bedabrata Paine, scientist and film maker spoke about the exciting prospects and felt the entire entertainment canvas is getting painted with the emerging digital brush.
